Art Recipe

I thought I would have a little play with this months Art Recipe.
https://tworzysko.blogspot.com/2019/07/art-recipe-july-2019.html

Colours of July Art Recipe:
pink, mint, yellow green

Products:
Art Alchemy: Sparks
Art Alchemy: Metallique Paints
Art Ingredients: Glass Beads
Art Basics: 3D Gel (matte or gloss)

I am not a pink person so I made my dominate colour the green tones.

I started with an art foamie script stamp and black acrylic paint let dry.
I then use the Art Basics 3D gloss gel over the top with some texture added with the palette knife. Let dry

Plan your design and glue down your ephemera.
I actually tried the sculpture medium on the medical guaze for the first time and loved how it gave it form and stability.
I also added some glass beads and art stones to fill in any gaps.

Once dry, brush over the areas you are going to paint with white gesso.

Let the colour begin. I started with metallique Jade stone.

Added some shadows with Sparks Green goblin.

Introduced some of the dreaded pink. LOL. Sparks Enchanted.

I kept added little highlights of different colours in the art recipe tones until I was happy.

I finished off with some wax white gold.

Thanks for looking.

Week 2 Creative Jump start

Ok all my friends would know if I listed the awesome artists from the 2nd week, where my heart truly lies.

Finnabair is my muse, she inspires me all the time. It is my favourite way to create.

I set up my canvas board using this beautiful oval dome a girlfriend gave me as my focal point. I have added all sorts of bits and bobs from my stash to complement it. The large circle in the middle is actually a part from a motor cycle.

I then covered the metal and resin pieces with white gesso, for the paint to grip to.

I based my first layers of colour on the tones in the oval focal area.
I used Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays for this step.

I added Alchelmy acrylic paints and waxes to finish it off.

Second Project Of Creative Jumpstart

As soon as I seen Birgit Koopsen inspiring video tutorial I knew what I was going to attempt.

I picked a page in my journal that I had just been adding left over paint and texture paste too. That wasn't really going anywhere but down. LOL

I did the paint/stencil wipe off technique and toned down the colours a little.

I didnt have any success with my photo transfer, because I think my photo had too much black. So I just reprinted it and added it over the top. I will practice Birgits technique some more later.

I am happy with my project now, thanks to Birgit it has been redeem. You would not think it was the same background.

Creative Jumpstart 2019

I have joined up for the Creative Jumpstart 2019, I really needed a strong jab of inspiration, my mojo is low.

I have watched 3 out of the first weeks video's and already I have started creating. Thank you guys and girls.

The theme is "My Home is my Castle"

I have based my first project on the inspiration gleened from James Luke Burke and Andrea Gomell.

I loved the idea of the added inserts that James used. I made mine out of old book paper and instead of ladies I made houses. The symbolism of those is that I have lived in many I called home and I have a close and loving extended family whose houses I feel at home in.

The bright colours and the words and feeling associate with Home I have used from Andrea Gomell's inspiration

A fun project to start the year.

Dark Inside

I haven't felt inspired to do a challenge lately then this one popped up......

I have sooo many ideas for this, it suits my daughter to a tee.

I got out my goth style stamps and a couple of the new KinderKreations stencils and viola.

I wish I hadn't scrapped all her goth dress ones already, might have to ask her for some more. LOL

PS I had to do another as I just love this mood board.

Kraft+ March Challenge

I Love to fussy cut so I can't believe I left it until 7.30pm on the 30th of the month to do a layout for this months challenge.

I have been playing with alcohol inks on Yupo paper and having a ball. I then take some of my favourite stamps and black archival ink and stamp away. Then I fussy cut out all the elements and store them away for later projects.

I have accented with some awesome KinderKreations chipboard to finish it off.

Kraft+ Feburary 2018

OK I have a confession back in the day of ABBA
I hated them. I know I hear your gasps of disbelief.

So when the stage show arrived I was really reluctant to go and see it and I love live theatre.

I took my then 9 year daughter and we laughed, danced, cried and had a bloody good time.

There was one song in particular called "Slipping through my fingers".
(that was the crying part of the show)
That really hit my heart. Do yourself a favour (as Molly says) and if you haven't heard it have a listen.

I thought it was just written for the stage show but it was written in 1981 for the Album called "The Visitors"

Then came the Kaft+ mood board and I thought SHIT. LOL

Then I got all nostalgic and remember the show and my darling daughter, who by the way is doing a bachelor of Music, majoring in audio engeneering.

So this is what I came up with, with the help of a special music pack from KinderKreations.
