Week 2 Creative Jump start

Ok all my friends would know if I listed the awesome artists from the 2nd week, where my heart truly lies.

Finnabair is my muse, she inspires me all the time. It is my favourite way to create.

I set up my canvas board using this beautiful oval dome a girlfriend gave me as my focal point. I have added all sorts of bits and bobs from my stash to complement it. The large circle in the middle is actually a part from a motor cycle.

I then covered the metal and resin pieces with white gesso, for the paint to grip to.

I based my first layers of colour on the tones in the oval focal area.
I used Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays for this step.

I added Alchelmy acrylic paints and waxes to finish it off.

Thanks for looking.

Second Project Of Creative Jumpstart

As soon as I seen Birgit Koopsen inspiring video tutorial I knew what I was going to attempt.

I picked a page in my journal that I had just been adding left over paint and texture paste too. That wasn't really going anywhere but down. LOL

I did the paint/stencil wipe off technique and toned down the colours a little.

I didnt have any success with my photo transfer, because I think my photo had too much black. So I just reprinted it and added it over the top. I will practice Birgits technique some more later.

I am happy with my project now, thanks to Birgit it has been redeem. You would not think it was the same background.

Creative Jumpstart 2019

I have joined up for the Creative Jumpstart 2019, I really needed a strong jab of inspiration, my mojo is low.

I have watched 3 out of the first weeks video's and already I have started creating. Thank you guys and girls.

The theme is "My Home is my Castle"

I have based my first project on the inspiration gleened from James Luke Burke and Andrea Gomell.

I loved the idea of the added inserts that James used. I made mine out of old book paper and instead of ladies I made houses. The symbolism of those is that I have lived in many I called home and I have a close and loving extended family whose houses I feel at home in.

The bright colours and the words and feeling associate with Home I have used from Andrea Gomell's inspiration

A fun project to start the year.
