Mixed Media Mayhem at Twiddleybitz this month

My second Layout for this month I found a wet one on my desk that had dried out but I loved the colours. I thought it would make a great photo matt.

I found an embossed card stock, sanded it back a bit centred the wet one and as I glued it I scrunched it up for texture.

When it had dried I laid a stencil over the top and used some gesso for contrast.

I played around with my accents and took a photo before I removed them. I realised another colour on the  back ground would be good so I added some brick red glimmer spray across the centre.

I also felt the leaves needed to be lifted so I used crackle accents over the top of them too. I added some stamps in black ink too.

Getting all arty at Twiddleybitz this month

Hi Everyone,

This month at Twiddleybitz the Design team are going all mixed media. This is my first layout.

My first step was to take a 12 x 12 chipboard sheet and cover it with crackle paste.

Let it dry on its own you get deeper crack, especially if you apply it thick.

Then I sprayed the background with complementary green shade of glimmer spray.

Let it dry. Then I added a stencil with gesso across the middle. Again let it dry.

I took some background stamps and black archival ink and dressed up the back ground.

I poured some red acrylic paint across the middle of the gesso and let it drip in both directions.

This is when I decided I liked the background better horizontal not vertical.

I also added some textural pieces to the background and some Twiddleybitz chipboard too.

I also added some dried and coloured wet ones to the background for some texture.
